Never had to do this but can you move two hard drives in raid 0 to a new pc?

My old Asus P5K deluxe mobo died so I'm building a new pc this weekend and wanted to know if I just plug the drives in and set the bios to raid will it work or will I have to set the raid up again meaning I'll loose all the data on them.

youll need to rebiuld the array and a clean install anyway if your new motherboard isnt the same asus p5k chipset, all the mb drivers on the hdd's will be different to the new mb

I know I will have to do a clean install but will I be able to read the drive as I have another drive which I can do the install on and boot from.

yeah i thinkso, sorry im not raid savvy

if you plug both the drives in in raid mode and try a startup repair it might work but im no expert on this

I think it is likely that you have lost your data :(
The disks from a RAID array can be moved to another system but only where the RAID controller is compatible and if the configuration can be matched exactly or imported from the disk/s.
Did you set up the array and understand it's configuration?
It sounds like the RAID controller is onboard. If so are you replacing the motherboard like for like?
