Hi guys,

I have just re-built Windows, with my new Z87 motherboard. Set up my array. IRST manager is asking me to turn on write back cache. Something I cant remember if I had on or off before. I certainly remember turning off disk cache and NCQ on.
Can someone please help me with this?

Yes enable write back cache, will make it slightly faster, its very confusing, you are actually enabling something to disable the function.

Write back cache is where the OS waits for the hard drive to report back to the OS that data in its cache has been successfully written to the drive, this extra command kinda slows the whole OS down a little, by enabling write back cache you are disabling this command.
