RAID 1 - Samsung 850EVO

Looking at changing my SSD setup. My 840EVO has just died, I will RMA it and then flog it. I want some data security so I thought that I'd by 2 SSDs next time.

Is there any issues putting 850EVOs in a mirrored pair?

I did try my 840 evos in raid but you cannot use the magician software to do firmware updates or anything else with the drives as it cannot see them.

in the end I changed my 840s for 2 x 850s and had a OS drive and then a second drive for storage then important stuff also backed up on to a external HDD

Don't bother with raid. Just keep backups.

Mscrium reflect is great for taking system images.
