awaiting a readynas duo nas. Wondering in the meantime if its possible to partition (into 3 partitions) one drive and mirror the whole drive onto the second drive in raid 1? Or can you only mirror partition to partition?
RAID operates at the hardware level so a RAID1 array appears to any software as a single drive therefore any partitions you create will be mirrored on both drives.
