Raid 10... Intel 520's

Ive done a bit reading into Raid configs but its Raid 10 really worth it? when compared with a Raid 0 and a regular image backup.

It would be on a day to day use workstation / occasional gaming
Using Intel 520 240GB drives

I read a review on another site showing Raid 0 Intel 520's are about as fast as you can get without mega $$$

your thoughts much appriciated

RAID10 is an expensive way of not having a proper backup, all it provides is redundancy in the event of a drive failure. Two extra 520s at £240 a pop for no additional space or performance just doesn't stack up against a mechanical backup drive.
