Raid 5/6 Quick question

Having say 2x2TB WD Green and 2x2TB Samsung Spinpoint F4's will this work in Raid 5/6 and will there be any speed diferences if they we're all Spinpoints compared to 2 types drives?

Depends on the relative speeds of the drives really. If you have a mixed array then the controller could end up waiting for data from the slower drive(s).

I wouldn't worry too much about it though, you should get pretty decent read speeds regardless.

What about write speeds?

The controller is going to determine write speeds more than the drives.
