Hi all,
Need some urgent help.
Ive got a RAID 5 Array using the Silicon Image 3114R RAID controller on the Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard. Using 4 Maxtor HD's . Now everything has been fine for ages, but had a problem with power last night and the ups didnt shut down the machine properly before it run out of battery power.
Now when booting up, the SATARAID5 (Array Manager) software tells me that its restoring redundancy, it does this for about 5 mins then it says its failed and all drives go to orphans and I have no options but to restart to get the drives back. But during the restoring I can view/copy all data on drive etc, and can pause the restoring and its fine. Can anyone help me on how to sort this out? Have I got any options other than to delete the array and start a new one? And what would cause it not to restore properly?
Oh and also, the windows install is all on raid 1 on nvidia controller.
All help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
