I have a Samsung F1 1tb at the moment and I was just wondering if I'd have any issues with buying 2 F3 1tb drives and running a RAID 5 array? They're the same capacity but a different platter design and the F3s are a fair bit quicker so I'm not too sure.

Thanks

It'll work but the read speeds won't be as good as three matching drives, write speeds will be determined by the controller rather than the disks.

Limited by the F1 I assume. The controller is whatever's built in on my M4A89GTD Pro Motherboard.
