Samsung 840 pro in raid x2 128 gb versions.
Added to the fact Gigabyte have a released bios with an option to now choose between IRSTe And IRST

Yup thats what i thought.
BUT EVEN BETTER , Keeping these drives in peak performance just had an added bonus with the new bios F12L From gigabyte on the x79 platform - Trim is working in Raid ! Just carried out the tests and its all come up trumps.

you should have gotten the 256gb, they are faster than the 128gb.

Think price may have something to do with it - as they are expensive for 256Gb, but otherwise you are correct - sigh, if only money was no object !!!!!
