Raid Controllers

Is it worth getting a fancy raid controller like this one:

over one like this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CC-022-AD&groupid=701&catid=49&subcat=424

considering it all for the new build, I've heard the ones that come on motherboards aint brilliant and aftermarket ones give a performance increase too (considering a raid 0+1 setup with 4 500gb hdd's)

As far as I can see both of those controllers support raid 10.
But is it worth going for a fancy one?

Can someone recomend me a decent pci one suppoting raid 0 + 1 under £200 then?
Or are the cheaper variant fine and support raid 0+1

I'll be having a 1gig 2900 xt in the pci express x16 slot, i've heard that disables pci x? (using the x16 slot)
