Hi,

Is there any software that allows the user to monitor the status of a RAID 1 array to ensure that all the data is being kept upto date and to inform the user when a disk failure occurs? Running Windows 32 bit with 2 x WD Caviar SE 2500KS drives. Any pearls of wisdom appreciated. :)

Cheers

Most RAID controllers, whether they be onboard or cards, that I've seen have some sort of monitoring software bundled with them. What controller are you using?

Sort of OT (sorry OP), but mine's an onboard one built in with my Asus M2N-E....hm..

I don't think that my motherboard had any bundled in. I certainly can't find any on their website. What would you guys recommend please?

rpstewart is right - raid monitoring is usually done by a seperate app which is often not included with the driver. If you can tell us who manufactured your controller (check device manager or the RAID BIOS) someone here can probably point you to a download.

Mine is by Nvidia. I'll go and have a ganders on their website :)

edit - for mine I think it is covered in their nForce package.
