Raid-O Cache behaviour

In raid-o array size and transfer will increase. Since files are divided and shared
one could only assume that cache-size of the array sums up also, (like hd-size),
but how is it ? would an array with 3 x HD, (each 16 mB cache), equal 48 mB ?

Not exactly, the cache on disk 1 can't be used to store data from disk3 for example. How the cache behaves in a RAID environment will be down to how the caching algorithms handle the requests being made from the RAID controller and you won't find anyone who will be in a position to tell you that in detail.

Hmm,.. ok,... (I feel uncertain if I will bennefit from a bigger cache at all),... guess I should
just stick to a cheaper 16 MB insteadt of a 32 MB model for the raid-drives then, likely what
it will end up with anyway, (new seagate 250), thanks for the answer

There is a law of diminishing returns when it comes to the size of any cache, a larger cache doesn't mean twice as many cache hits.
