RAID partition sizes? What do you use?

Hi all,

I'm putting together a 1.2Tb RAID array and I just wondered what size partitions people used or if you just have one gigantic one?

I wanted a single partition mainly because it's really annoying when you fill on up and have loads of space in another.

It's mainly video and music that'll be on it.

It's a 5 disc RAID 3 array, will be using 5 Seagate 320Gb 7200.10 drives on an XFX Revo64 5-port card

That's what I thought, 1 partition sounds best to me as well

As far as I'm aware. Not sure if the XFX card will allow you to upgrade from 3 to 5 drives whilst keeping your data in place or not.
