raid question for a first timer

ok on my new build i'll be setting up a raid array, i know i need to have a floppy with raid drivers on it,

do i put the mobo disk in my old pc and save the drivers off the cd onto the floppy?

this is the bit im a bit lost with just wondering how i get the drivers will it be an option when i put the mobo disk in the old pc?

well i havent ordered all my components yet but it looks like it wil be the gigabyte ds3p (it think thats what the model is)

will be a new build and wanted to try and get the raid set up before installing windows, as i understand that it formats the drives when it sets up the array so it seems pointless to have to install windows twice
