Raid question

Hi im looking for some advice im looking to get a raid 0 setup but am unsure

i already have one of

Western Digital Raptor X 150GB WD1500AHFD 10,000RPM SATA 16MB Cache - OEM

and am think of getting another to set up in raid 0 im thinking is it worth it performance wise ?

i also have a

Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB 5000AAKS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

is it possible to set it up so that its purely a back up drive and nothing else whilst the two raptors are in raid 0 ?

Yes striped would be faster but then again if one drive fails itll end in tears as windows files get written to more often than you could stand to backup to the caviar. Check your mobo for channels supported, ie 2,4 etc then configure from there.

I have a gigabyte ga-p35-DQ6 mobo does tht have build in raid controller if yes is it better getting a raid card or what thx
