Raid questions

If i install winxp on an raid array which is done by a PCI controller card and i install the raid drivers etc via floppy disk method then,

When am in winxp and have it all setup and running and want to add another raid array using the onboard raid, i do this by going through the bootup raid array setup and create the array and then go on to boot from the other PCI array.

When i get to desktop will windows pick up on the new array or it wont till i get the drivers installed?

If you installed the drivers for the onboard controller as part of the board chipset package then the array will be detected otherwise you'll need to install the drivers separately. A quick check in device manager will tell you if you have any unknown devices which require drivers.

In either case you'll need to partition and format the new array in Disk Management before it will be useable in Windows.
