Quick couple of questions about RAID set up. I've had a quiakc search and it seems to be the way to go. I've recently had a hdd problem where i couldn't access files via my computer, but could open them with various applications. Photo's, music, etc... So presumably it was some kind of path error???
Anyway, i've reformatted and reinstalled and it seems fine....
But before i go and put everything back on, i'm thinking of a RAID set up. Looking at the forum threads, RAID1 seems to the option for me. So...
Is there anything particular to go for?
What is stripe size? and what size should i use?
Thinking of Samsung drives(despite the problem with the current one), thoughts?
Whats the power implications?
Does it require any maintenance once set up?
The system should be fine: Q6600, 4gb ram, Asus P5kc, Radeon 4850, Vista 64 Home premium, Antec Sonatta 2 with stock PSU. Mainly used for general use, not much gaming for now
