RAID Setup

Hi Guys,

Just Set up my first RAID configuration on RAID 0 with two Kingston Hyperx Savage SSD's running windows 10, and coming from a single SSD solution, wow they are speedy!

I'm running a Rampage IV motherboard, and am using RAID through the Intel controller.

Now, in terms of monitoring, and maintenance, is there anything specific required, or do I treat it as a single disk instead of two?

Also, as the RAID is through the Intel RAID controller (X79 platform) would I need to install Intel RST to boost the performance further?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure that I am on the same page as everyone else!

Strange, I went from two Samsung 830s (non RAID) on an x58 board, so only SATA 3GBit, to a z97 board (yay 6GBit), then realised TRIM worked in RAID on the z97, so put them in RAID0, then bought a Samsung 850 Evo 1TB and got rid of RAID.

I didn't really notice any difference all the way through :/

Installing Intel RST is a good idea, I think it might even be required for TRIM to work. Other than that, you have done all you need to do, and it will require no more maintenance than your previous single SSD did.
