RAID woes :(

Hi Guys

Last night I decided to test all my drives to test them for errors (Been getting some BSOD's recently and wanted to check the disks).

I have 4 disks in my computer:

1) WD 1tb Black <<<<<<< OS
2) Samsung 1tb F1 <<<<<< OS Backup.
3) Samsung 2tb F4EG <<<<<<RAID1
4) Samsung 2tb F4EG <<<<<<RAID1

I loaded my UBCD and loaded EStools. I tested the 3 Samsung drives with the tool. Both disks came back fine and working.

I rebooted and saw the RAID had then no record of the RAID set up. I loaded the RAID tool in Windows and shore enough it had no record of the array and wanted to recreate it, at the expense of my data.

So I copied all my data off (My documents and Media), remade the array and copied the data back.

What Id like to know is what happened there for this to happen?

Ive also had the same issue when I changed motherboards from a P8P67 to my UD7. So im starting to question the reliability to the ICHR10 controller.

Matt
