thinking of buying x 2 160GB HARD DRIVE MAXTOR SATA II which i hope to partion into 2, 1 part win xp, 1 part vista will i have any problems in putting the 2 hdd's in raid and partioning?

when you raid drives together, they are seen by the computer as 1 single hdd, so you wont have problems with partitions. as for your choice of HDD, i suggest you read some reviews and such first, maxtor have a bad reputation for HDDs that fail just months after they are purchased.

so i shouldnt see any problems with either raid 0 or raid 1 which ever config i go for ?

as for the hdd's i will deffo look into it.

If you're going to be running Vista then make sure that you can get drivers for the RAID controller before you start or you won't be going anywhere.

Depends when they're available, I think folk are still waiting for NForce4 ones, no idea about ones for the Gigaraid controllers.

yup just downloaded them
