RAID0+1

Hi,
If I plan on RAID0+1 is there any point in getting two 10000rpm VelociRaptors as my main pair, and then 2 7200rpm WDC caviar as my back up pair? Will the harddrives be only as quick as the 7200rpm? Or will the performance for be the same as if I had only 2 10000rpm hdds?

So if I understand correctly it is just better to get 4x 7200rpm WDC drives in RAID10?
