You can even get it yourself if you have money to burn - google bonded adsl.

Not the same thing as bonding as it appears as 2 seperate IP addresses so some services will not allow you to connect using both of them (Usenet for example). Bonded ADSL doesn't work correctly on rate adaptive lines (ADSL Max/2+). It works quite well on 2meg fixed lines. The ISp needs to support it too.
Load balancing and line bonding aren't the same thing, but yeah - load balancing can give you good results in certain circumstances.
