I have a DFI Ultra with a single raptop 74Gb drive and I have been using an external hard disk for storage, but it's full up.
As the Samsung 250Gb drives are so cheap, i've bought two and want to use them in Raid0, purely so I can have the storage as one big disk. None of the stored data is overly important (compressed dvd's, tv episodes, downloaded applications etc), so it doesn't really matter if a disk fails. I regularly backup all my important data to DVD.
My question is can i simply plug them in and set them up? I didn't touch the raid settings when I put the pc together, so the raid setup will be at the default settings...
