RAID1 Query.

Hi Guys,
I have a RAID1 setup on my GB motherboard with 2x WD 640gb drives.
This RAID is on the Marvel chip (GSATA3_6/7) whilst my SSD and OD is on the Intel chipset.
I've not noticed any "degraded" RAID.
After unplugging one drive to stick a recently purchased 1.5tb drive in to test, i noticed my Raid data was only on the one WD drive.
The drive that has no data comes up as UNALLOCATED SPACE in Windows Disk Management.

WDDiag is running at the moment on the drive...

Could this be a RAID problem or a drive problem?

The array is showing as degraded as it can't see both drives with the data in sync.
If the other drive is not showing any data it would suggest the array may not have been setup correctly when you started using it.

If you can recreate the array without initialising it then I'd try that.
