Thanks for the feedback guys,I've got gotta find some good links for RBR updates etc. :)

;) RBR Online Linky http://www.rbr-online.it/index.php

RBR is the Ultimate rally game if not the all time ultimate driving game.
The feel of the cars is incredible i love it and have since release. Why knowone has taken this engine and produced a racer with it i will never know.
Strictly hardcore with a Massive learning curve but once you get swinging that car through those stages and competing you will never look at another rally game again.

This is My input for what its worth

CM actually developed the first two or three being very hands on and to me its shown in the better / more realistic handling in the earlier games. Ithink after that the developers were just using his name.

RB was gravely ill during developement of that game so not entirely sure how much input he could have had ( unless there is a No2?)

I'm sure RB put quite a lot of work into the game, as although the game was released early 2004, he only found out that he was ill before a rally in November 2003, so there will have been plenty of time for him to help along with development before he tragically succumed to his illnes.

Yup, good old steep learning curves. Spent ages learning to drive on gravel, then come a tarmac stage, oh my, your car seems to be on its roof again.

richard burns rally = steering wheel.

you really need a wheel for this game, its an amazing amount of fun. i spent 4 hours last night on the demo's single track just trying to cut time, its very satisfying to see those seconds come off and watching the replays is a real treat too. great to see yourself sliding round the corners.
if youre after a footdown all the way type game then dont bother with this one, stick to colin mcrae for that sort of style. there seems to be a huge community for RBR too. quite right so :D

well ive just tried colin mcrae 3 and 2005, and to be absolutely honest. they are pants in comparison with richard burns, there seems to be a massive deadzone for the steering wheel so it needs almost a full turn to get round a corner.
probably better for a pad, i know CM3 is ok with a pad :)

CM 5 looks very nice but I just cannot get into it,best suited to a console methinks.

Richard Burns has to be the most overlooked Driving Sim ever..tiz a shame cuz it sooooooo good.

Ive downloaded the Richard Burns Rally demo, but its running at 1fps, even in the menus  i have all settings on high but my 7900GT should obviously be able to handle it with ease!
