Ram clarification

time to build a new pc 10 years after the last, run into a head scratcher.

I am planning on getting this ram, which seems to be 30-36-36-76 cas timmings

but on the specifications of the product page its listed as CL 36. Am I being a numpty is it actually a 36CL Ram or just a mistake on the listings?

Looks like a copy and paste error. I'd go by the MPN because that's what you'd challenge OCUK on, if they send the wrong thing.

The first number is often the CAS latency, so it's actually CL30. Reading the Corsair page of that specific RAM kit confirms that it's CL30. Might just be a mistake on the OCUK shop page.

You ideally want EXPO memory if going AM5.

Will XMP work tho if I cant find any EXPO ram in stock? Providing the ram is on the mobo compatibility list?

If on the list for the AM5 motherboard then it should work but expo has optimal settings for AM5 .

okay cheers dude, I found a similar Corsair kit that says EXPO and went with that

If you have any issues, drop it into XMP mode. It sounds backwards, but it can be more stable than EXPO.
