RAM compatability check

Hi folks,
Would this RAM :-

Be ok in an MSI P55-GD80 motherboard?

Should do, might have to run at 1066 or 1333.

Is that ok on a P55 board, thought the DDR voltage was 1.65V on the MSI boards but that RAM says 1.8-1.9V?

Yes, you are correct. The above RAM is not compatible You need 1.65v RAM not 1.8v. Easy mistake to make, they should have rebranded the RAM.

These look pretty decent for the price.

Thanks for that, bit of a minefield isn't it, so easy to get the wrong bloody stuff! Is that one you just linked to better than the Ripjaw stuff cos that seems to be popular?

I would say they are pretty much identicial both having low latencies 7-7-7-20/24 and both have life time warranty. I think the brand name's appealing "RIiipppJAWWWW"

oh and the're £7 cheaper which might have something to do with it.
