Ram for 4930k on RiveBE

Always go quad kits not 2 x Dual to ensuire matched SPD tables.,

+4000

Just wasted three days trying to get 2 seperate dual channel but identical sets of 1866 16Gb (2x8gb) working on my system. They run fine at XMP settings until I try to get above 4.5ghz.

Just ordered a set of quad ones now after flogging my existing set. Its what a lot of serious overclockers recommend (including raja @ asus) so heed the warning! ;)

If you know what all tyeh sub timings do you can get any sinilar IC working but tuning manually is essential. For full plug and play quad channel support use a quad channel matched kit.

yus - i cba though - even with the help of raja I gave up after two days lol (see ROG forums for my 'example') - its gets even more difficult using 8gb sticks as there is higher density to deal with - if thats the correct term!

<lazy overclocker :) :) :)

Cokrsair have no Samsung IC hence no C9 2400 or C10 2666. I use the C10 2666 stuff for benching I have a couple of kits and the Special Vengeance ones we competed with at Computex.

C10 will be Hynix CFR at a guess.

Clayer did those settings work for ya?? Team Group 2600C10 do 2666 in all mu ASUS X79 ROG boards with all my CPU with some fine tuning. Always go quad kits not 2 x Dual to ensuire matched SPD tables.,

hi did not get settings working currently at 4.4oc 2133 got 2400 but had a better realbench v2 score with current.
still trying to work out crosfire problem i have restart every time i game, had my psu checked today working perfect. tried everything i can think of no oc defaults drivers viruses cables. now gaming on 1 card and a bit ****ed off about it was close to taking it outside and showing it my 14lb sledgehammer.if anyone can fix this problem im willing to pay for it, only thing i can think of is its motherboard or gpu. going to try and use card 2 tomorrow as 1 is ok.
oh btw crossfire passes benchmarks.

hi 8 pack

ok think ive narrowed down problem

ran furmark burn in full res restarts after about 10 minutes same error temps in gpu mid to late 50s so there fine
ran gpu-z render test crashed about 10 minutes same error temps same as furmark

both in crossfire mode at defaults

psu has tested as fine how can i test psu is pushing enough power ?

Did you say your system is restarting??
If so go to Digi+ section in bios and set "current inrush inertia" to enabled and raise cpu current to 170%
It is a known problem and getting sorted in the next bios release.

If it is power/psu related you could try running cpu at stock to gain back a few more watts then test gpu's again.

Is it the AX1200i??

hi

the only options i had in current inrush inertia was auto.enable, disable
ive set to enable from auto see if it makes a difference.

my psu is 1200ax
im running everything at defaults till i can fix this problem.
im going to test gpu individually do you know if i can use the gpu in slot 4 as primary card, if i swap monitor leads around should it make second card as primary.
trying to isolate the problem, this is only pitfall being watercooled as i cant test if its mb and a spare gpu without a lot of hassle.
thanks

hi 8pack yes im trying to do that how do i make secondary card the primary 1 without removing them and swapping round i swapped the moniter leads to secondary and cant get to desktop.
