I have just put the 4 gig Corsair XMS2 pair in a Gigabyte ga-ma78gm-us2h and I was getting random blue screens and windows errors.

Just started running memtest86 and it's already come up with an error.

Do I RMA it immediately or try and sort it?

Update BIOS? Mess with voltage? I heard DDR2 runs natively at 1.8 volts however this ram states on the chips that it should run at 1.9v. If the BIOS is set to automatic should it set the correct voltage?

Any advice would be welcome thanks.

Try going into the bios and setting the reccomended timings and voltages manually to see if it helps.

Cheers peeps, will give it a go. Will have to be tomorrow night now though - shame we have to work eh :-)

Tried just before bed last night - would not even boot into windows manually setting it to 1.9v and whilst it booted up at 2.0v, after 2 minutes I got a blue screen with something about video_memory_manager.

That ram is rated @ 2.1v, Look on the side of the stick it says so ;)
Also from memory the timings should be 5-5-5-15, It will only be the last value you have to change, Prob at 18 at the mo but needs to be set to 15 & the volts @ 2.1v, I'd try just one stick first though, If it fails try the other, If they both fail then something else is wrong as Corsair XMS S2 is Rock solid in my experience.

Data Sheet and I'm sure (although can't check at the moment) the sticker on the side of the ram, says 1.9v for this memory.
