RAM Help.

As it is pay day in a few weeks and BF3 is out just a little after that I think I will be spending my overtime money on some shiny new RAM.

I currently have a Corsair XMS3 — 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 kit running with an i7 2600k on an ASUS P8P67 Deluxe mobo. Would it be worth buying another 4gb of this stuff or ripping it out and upgrading completely?

I have kinda fallen out of the times when it comes to RAM so im pretty clueless

I assume this is 1600mhz, I would just add another 4gb

If it's just for gaming and your system isn't heavily clocked then you may as well buy a second set of 4gb for £27.

Even if your rig was heavily clocked there's still a high probability that filling all the slots would not effect a SB setup as they don't seem to be as 'delicate' as previous generations.

Its clocked to 4.5Ghz I believe.

As Plec mentioned You should be ok, but be prepared to redo your Overclock.

It has dropped by a huge amount, I bought my RAM for £80 this soon went up to £140 ~ but today you can get this for £50 !

(Using 6gb Patriot Viper)
