Far Far Away!
Installed new mobo, new ram, new gpu.

windows shows 8gb ram, 7.69gb usable.

windows is 64bit, and correct ram speed is selected in bios.
latest graphic driver is also installed.

Does anyone know why it's showing usable?

Windows keeps trying to install standard VGA driver also. I DONT need it. :D

Thanks

Thanks, will try now... thought it was something in there possibly!
will update....

no luck.

using the maximus gene v.
i've gone into the bios. and selected pcie as main gpu.
windows also keeps trying to install driver..

Any help?
Thanks

Look for memory remapping, and enable or disable it,it should give you all the memory then, look in BIOS

Oh and you didn't disable the igpu by selecting pci,you have to look for disable igpu or onboard graphics

disabled the remap feature, still not working. there isn't any obvious option for disabling onboard gpu?

:'(

this is proving to be tough, there is no actual "disable on-board"
making me acheee. :D

If there isn't an option to disable it in the BIOS then disable it in Device Manager.

ignore the other 2 errors, the vga keeps coming up. which i can't resolve.. if i disable it, i still only have 7.69gb usable ram.

Thanks guys
