RAM not recognised in EUFI?

I'm not an owl so I can't read half of those but isn't the voltage supposed to be 1.35 or something? I didn't think you could get much over 2666 running at 1.2v.

thats something I've only just noticed now :( with that ram did you set docp in the bios, or leave it to its own devices?

i still think its the ram as on the website it's not on the qvl supported ram sheet, but try docp and make sure 1.35v is set, you never know it may spring into life saving you the trouble to return it

I left everything at default initially and auto. You can click the image to see it larger can't you?
It's not size, it is rotation. From what I can see, it set itself to 2666 which is not weird because at 1.2v that's probably the limit of stability. You'd have to manually set it, or use XMP, if you want it higher, but that'll likely require a higher voltage if it's not set automatically.

1.35V :(

The Crucial compatibility checker doesn't actually guarantee compatibility, as far as I know, only the QVL does that. It just guarantees you can return it if it doesn't work.

Shall I go for
Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Kit, Black?

you should have no issues with the kit you have picked out it's been tuned to work on 3rd gen ryzen, if you go for it make sure to set docp in the bios, click on load xmp tab and change from auto to the speed of the kit, you can check if the settings have applied as just below shows the dram voltage, if that says 1.35v then it's good to go

Better to go for that over the kit I've just sent back because it wasn't correctly configured and therefore not tested properly?

I'm going to find out, I've reordered the same kit. Let's see what happens. Need to remember to increase voltage.

Do I leave the Ryzen infinity fabric settings alone?

I'd recommend you just enable XMP and ensure that the DRAM voltage is set correctly to 1.35v. You shouldn't need to touch anything else.

Thanks Tetras, I'll be sure to do that. The last time I built a system you just installed the RAM and it worked...

I've seen some memory that was 2933 and 1.2v, but generally yes, memory running above 2666 will require 1.35v. For 1st gen Ryzen 2666 was native, for 2nd gen 2933 and for 3rd gen 3200, but you'll still need to enable XMP to run above 2666. It defaults to 2666 partly because 2666/1.2v is compatible with practically any DDR4 motherboard, while if it defaulted to 3200 some setups would be unstable or refuse to boot, especially if the voltage wasn't set automatically.
