Ram question

Hey all. Built a new system back in feb and got 4 gig of ram at the time. It was the geil value ram which no longer is sold here.

Just wondering if i was to add another 4 gig. Do i need identical timmings to the geil ram to work ????

its always better to use the same ram, but if you get faster ram it will clock down to the geil ram and if you get slower the geil ram will clock down to match the slower ram

Thanks dude for clearing that up for me. I think the timmings of the geil ram are 9-9-9-28 and some other ram would be 9-9-9-27 so not a lot of difference really.
