I recently brought 4x 1gig OCUK value ram, and couldnt get it to run at the speed/timings advertised ( 1066 ~ 5-5-5-15 ) (possible because im using 2 pairs of 1gig ?) it wouldnt go below the default of 5-6-6-18, any lower and it wouldnt POST
I did volt the ram to 2.3v ( reccomended 2.1 - 2.3 )
but after overclocking my CPU ( 9x378 @ 3.4ghz, 1.408v(cpuz reading) )
with my ram is at 472.5 (FSB
RAM - 4:5 )
I figured i would give it another go, and low and behold i have been able to lower them somewhat.
Im currently 15 minutes into memtest (the one that runs in windows, not the bootable disc) with my timings at 4-5-5-9.
The 4-5-5 wont go any lower, if i do it doesnt post. im just running this test before i attempt to lower the 9 to 8.
I was wondering for your opinions on this ram so far as i cant really find any comparisons.
