Ram upgrade advice needed

Hi all, I bought a pc from overclockers back in 2014 and its still going strong, upgraded the gpu a couple of times but now im thinking of upgrading the RAM

Im currebtly running with TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual channel kit.

I would like to add another 16GB of RAM but I cannot find this exact RAM anywhere on the net, so would I be ok to change brand/MHz etc? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

**edit** Is it even worth upgrading the RAM? Or should I be looking at a new build?

What's the rest of your spec & what do you use your PC for? If it's only for gaming, you will see very little benefit in upgrading to 32GB.

Yeah, probably not worth going with 32gb now on a PC that old unless you really need it for video editing or something.

If just for gaming 16GB is plenty mate - won't get any performance boost going 32GB unless you do 3D rendering/editing work etc.

As El Jimben said what's rest of your PC specs? Do you have an SSD? That would really help boost performance if you don't have one.

If you want some extra gaming performance your probably best doing a Gpu upgrade as that CPU should be able to handle atleast a 2070super.
