RAM Upgrade: Should I bother?

I'm contemplating adding more RAM to my PC which currently looks like this:

ASRock H87M-ITX motherboard
Intel i5 4570
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
EVGA GTX 770 SC

I'm waiting for Pascal cards before I do anything with my 770 but RAM is cheap at the moment so want to go up to 16GB.

According to ASRock, the motherboard supports up to 1600mhz DDR3 so should I just 1600mhz memory or should I spend (literally £8 more) and get 2400mhz RAM? I don't even know how overclockable this board is...

To be honest I would wait in case you decide upgrade your motherboard, you will most likely only notice an improvement if you have a lot of apps open at once.

I'm trying to avoid that for now. If I start down that route, i'll switch to skylake which will mean buying new DDR4 RAM anyway.

My upgrade plan for the next year or so is basically (in this order):

1. RAM 8GB > 16GB
2. GPU 770 > x80/x80ti
3. Motherboard, CPU and RAM

Ram is pretty cheap right now, so if you buy it now, and sell it when you upgrade, you wont lose out much anyway its only like £5-£10, for peace of mind to know that you won't be potentially bottlenecked by ram.
