Drive out of the garage indicate to turn right...Woman flashes me out.Come

to a roundabout and give way then BANG she hits me from behind causing

damage to my back bumper.:mad::(

Now gotta wait until the 19th for the whole thing to be replaced.

Silly "$£%^&*

Someone went into the back of my brothers car the other day, the other driver was uninsured. He's given him a cheque for £1000+ to get it sorted but you have to wonder why he was driving without insurance if he could afford to pay £1k like that.

Banned possibly? keep off the police radar maybe.

Maybe the cheque will bounce.

Cheque's can be cancelled at any time - even months later.

Just hope she doesn't say that she wasn't letting you out. After all flashing ones lights means that you are alerting someone of your presence not giving way.

Not any more they can't unless you're party to the fraud (i.e. you're aware of it).

Benefits for businesses and consumers

From the end of November 2007, changes known as 2-4-6 will come into force. These will increase clarity and certainty when you are paying in cheques to a bank or building society account.

For the first time, after paying in a cheque, you can be sure that at the end of six working days, the money is yours. You are protected from any loss if the cheque subsequently bounces, unless you are a knowing party to a fraud. The changes also set maximum times when customers start earning interest on money paid in and when it will be available for withdrawal.

If he's offering £1k to not report the accident to police or insurers then only accept it in cash. If he won't do that they go straight to the police imo.

Just got my car back from Body repair

New bumper and respray.

Cost just under 1k :eek:

This was the damage initially.
