I've been listening to them a bit (mainly greatest hits at the moment - Du hast is stunning) and it's made me appreciate the German language, I really like the sound of it.

Same here. If they were a British/American band I probably wouldn't have paid them so much attention. If you like Du Hast then you should definitely get Sensucht. It's one of their best albums. After that they moved away from that techno/industrial sound and started playing regular metal/rock. They're still great, their new album is a return to form, but their new stuff is quite different to their early efforts.
 
Haha Combichrist have been announced as support for the UK dates, the metal fans are going to hate them :D (for the record I love Combichrist)
 
To the OP, if you happened to have been describing the band in your sig I would be in full undoubted agreement.

Combichrist are aweseom - they're like Ministry or KMFDM on speed/crack, right?!

i met a few austrian girls in berlin who know combichrist quite qell and go to quite a lot of private parties wit them, they arwe coming over next month and i,m going to party with them :P they have also been to a few parties with rammstein so there is a chance i could meet them! (OMGOMGOMG!!!) may i add that these girls are fiiiine :P just incase you lot weren't jealous enough :P
 
Heh, Combichrist are pretty good though I got bored of them pretty quickly. Still like a few tracks though, most of them are off of Everybody Hates You.

I prefer Icon of Coil, the lead singers other band.

i want your blood is probably one of my favourite songs by them, i was so disappointed that they didn't play it in Berlin and that they only had a 30 minute slot :( but they do have a great stagr set up and are brilliant live, not quite as good as Rammstein though :D (just thought i'd get the thread back on track :D )

Icon of Coil are awesome, I'd give my right nut for another album :(

Panzer AG (his other, other band!) are also excellent.
 
im glad Combichrist are confirmed as support, id never heard of them until i read they were supporting the 2009 part of the tour.

ill have to listen to some of there stuff on youtube as there was no confirmation they were supporting in the uk i didnt go much further but from what little ive seen they should be good live
 
Yep love them as well. They're one of these bands that I try not to learn too much about because I want too keep the image of them being these mental characters. Would rather spoil the illusion if I found out they were all ex hairdressers or something.
