Hello,

I bought a pre-overclocked bundle from OcUK a while ago, this is the configuration:

ASUS Rampage II Extreme
Intel Core i7 920 @ 4.0
6GB Corsair 1600
Two Samsung F3 Raid0
LG DVD-RW
Corsair HX850
ATI HD 5770
I have a problem with the shutdown. when I shutdown the computer, everything goes fine unless all the system fans won't turn off. I can confirm that the PC is turned off but fans will continue to work for eternity!

I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I also updated every driver and the windows is also up-to-date as well.

I can't update the BIOS because it would remove the overclocking.

Is there any solution?

does the fans still spin, if you forcefully turn it off by holding the power button until its off?

never bumped into a issue like this but there was this once that, when i turned off the pc, the pc lights would still stay on, on the front of the case.

If I forecefully turn it off the fans will stop spinning and the lights will turn off.

On that case, how did you solve the issue?

I've found a guy with a similar issue, and his problem was resolved by updating the BIOS.

What should I do? updating the bios will remove the overclocking.

update the bios and myself and other will help you overclock it for you, beings as we have the same board,i can post some pics for you on how to set your bios overclock up,then you just set your cpu and qpi dram voltage according to a d0 chip, easy peasy,be done in no time at all and you gain lots of confidence and experience:)

Hi there, sorry to but in this thread. I myself have bought the same pre-overclocked bundle from OcUK a while ago. I want to find out how to put default settings on my cpu, and how I can put it overclocked again when I want to.

Thank you.

copy these then we will go from there,if your i7 is a d0 go for 4ghz instead of 3.8 like me
These bios settings are from 2008 but nothing has changed n my bios since then apart from a new bios update but i use the same settings

Mine is pre-overclocked by OcUK vet. How can I put default settings on and keep my OcUK profile?

i dont know,i have not done that because there is no need to mess with profiles and change, amy as well leave it running at maximum settings like i have here:)

if you flash your BIOS will will probley lose it inc profiles thats what I m lead to think, write it down on a peaice of paper if anything before you flash it or deafult it and flash it

theres a way of saving your bios set up to usb stick, then just reloading it. TBH if you flash the bios you would probably want to fiddle with your settings anyway, as it can change the optimum setup.

Found the soloution I called the OcUk line, and talked with the people who deal with these sort of issues. I told them I wanted to keep my Oc'ed profile that they made, just I would rather use stock/default settings as I really dont need that kind of speed as of yet. The asnwer was soooo simple...

At the back of the computer, there is a green button. Hold it in for 2 mins...your done, AND you get to keep your OC'ed profile incase your ever feeling the need for extreme performance.

Hope this helps other people also.

The board has dual bios chips which you can choose between. I can't find reference to holding down the button in the manual - does this dump the current settings to the second bios chip?

I think I would have just written down all the BIOS settings, or taken a photo of each screen (like thevet), then updated and reset BIOS, then manually entered those settings back in.
