Rampage V Extreme - SOS - Boot Loop

I've had a Google around and this doesn't appear to be straight forward at all. Thanks for your help so far.

Hoping someone who has carried out this process can post some details.

According to the manual, which is here - page 23, you have a switch BIOS button, on page 24, you also have a "safe boot" switch - have you tried any of these? If so, try it, starting with the BIOS switch.

Safe boot didn't help, however switching to the second bios is now making it hang on code 02.

Edit: I've tried a different PSU and still the same, so pretty sure the bios is corrupted.

I find it unlikely that you've managed to corrupt both bios. If i were you i would first try removing the battery and unplugging the psu for 30 mins or so, if that doesn't help remove anything connected to the board , usb's , drives , m.2 any add in cards so your just literally running the board and gpu.

Also what chip are you running ? If your running a broadwell-e chip the second bios might not be flashed to support it.

If you really get stuck i have a spare Rve and i can send you a bios chip to test.

@darket I've tried everything including Flashback on each chip with only the 24pin motherboard connector plugged in. After extensive Googling I've landed on this thread:

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?55900-UEFI-BIOS-Chip-Recovery-Reprogram-Guide-(EZP2010-Programmer)

I've ordered a EZP2010 programmer from China (via eBay) and can hopefully reprogram both chips.

Is the spare chip you have one of the two that came with your board? Wouldn't you need it?

By the way, I'm running a 5930k on the board.

I got my EZP2010 yesterday and wrote a clean BIOS to one of the chips, but I'm still getting the boot loop.

I'm glad you've posted those chips now @darket so I can fully rule out a corrupted BIOS. I fear this board may be EOL for me, which is really disappointing as I wasn't even pushing it at all.

I'll let you know when I've received your chip and tested.
