I quite like him, although he goes nuts over small things (which I guess you need to do when running a high end restaurant).

I'm just watching some clips from Boiling Point (when he opened Petrus) and he's grabbing his staff and throwing them about.

Despite this he has an 85% + rentention rate on staff (for over 10 years)

He's just genious, he knows food and how to run places effectively, his passion is what gives him the insane edge.

You can tell it hurts him, almost breaks his heart to see food "mis-treated".

Gotta love Ramsay's programs, especially Kitchen Nightmare's. Sometimes he gets a bit too carried away, especially if hes throwing staff around like you just said.
I wouldnt want to work with him, him having all those kitchen knives laying around etc ;)

I had respect for him ever since he told an American customer on the american show to "**** ***" after they complained about perfectly good food. He ate some himself and just told she was stirring for no reason, in not such nice terms :).

Stood up for his chefs that day, he's only like that with his staff because he has to get the result he needs out of them and boy does he get some proper results. The guy really knows his food and how to run places efficiently and I would imagine out of the kitchen he is a perfectly sound guy.
