ramthor's monster build

It's called "the bleeding edge" (play on leading edge) for a good reason. You're not using stuff that tried, tested and known to be reliable, your using the newest, least tested and fastest stuff money can buy. It should be good but it can often be a pain to make work. It's normally things like firmware updates and compatibility though rather than faulty items to be fair.

Tubing looks good. How did you do the close bends on the left tube?

I get that part of the fun of building something is diagnosing and treating the problems encountered and I'm glad that I almost completed my work. It is heart wrenching to find out that something is wrong and you don't know what it is but it is very rewarding when you can identify the issue and fix it.

The tube coming down from my top radiator into the CPU block is bent using a mandrel for the first bend and manual bending for the other, making sure I don't accidentally re-heat the first bend, then cutting it to fit.

Thanks!

I get better cooling for GPUs in this configuration. Initial layout was giving me around 5 degrees temperature difference between GPUs while this one is only 2 degrees. It may be marginal improvement, but improvement nevertheless. I also quite like the centre dominated by blue and surrounded by red.

I'm still not done and I'd like to improve the lighting a bit towards the reservoirs which are not very visible in low light. So I've ordered this:
My basket at Overclockers UK:

The LED strip will be connected to the motherboard's RGB header and the 4 LEDs I want to install at the bottom of the reservoirs using plexi G1/4 LED plugs like this one:
https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-plug-g1-4-plexi-led-5mm
but I had trouble finding any.

I really don't want to order them from EK directly as it takes too long to arrive. Any ideas what else can I use?

Lovely build.

FYI, the plugs you have on the water blocks - I've just finished my ITX build and noticed you can replace the default ugly plugs with the Allan key socket on them with a plug with the EK logo. I've just got some to finish mine off nicely. I think yours would benefit from the same treatment!

Okay I was a bit of a **** in post #7 and thought it was a "pick the most expensive bits build"

I was wrong, that looks amazing. Great work man, epic colour scheme.

With Boost 3, cant argue with 5c cooler . Think it's posted somewhere on here about 20hz throttle for every 5c gained.

These are what I'm on about, to replace the plugs in your blocks/res

Nickel

Black Nickel

Black

Only a couple of quid each and would set it off nicely.
