Yes...I hope Daft Punk can finally deliver a GREAT album. I love Alive, and Discovery is very, very good but I just feel when it comes to studio albums they've never realised their potential.

This is how you embed

Quote my post to see how

you take the code after v= and whack it in youtube quotes

Serious ?

Homework was totally groundbreaking and everyone in the underground copied that sound for years even though daft punk had gone overground with da funk and around the world (easier then though when people would go home from clubs and buy records or request them on music channels).

Alive97 was homework olayed live on the studio equipment still being , them still being underground and it is still ace

Discovery changed everything again

Human after all seemed like they rushed it out to meet contractual obligations but when you go back to it its not as bad as it seemed then . The sound Was a bit too strange back then but now it sounds like everything from the years following it

They where only really known for their albums till 2006 when they tapped into people's heads with that mind control pyramid :p

I don't normally get very excited about new album released but I am really looking forward to this one. Here are some more videos from the "The Collaborators" videos

Homework is hit and miss to say the least. Discovery really brought their sound into a more accessible set of tunes - it's easily there best studio work.

They have done some great tracks in the past and there's no doubting this will be a good album, but the hype and hysteria for Random Access Memories makes me laugh. It's like they're the second coming of God or something. I don't get it.

well that pyramid wa

admittedly yes its ridiculous but that hype has came from somewhere though... and its not like theyre bigging it up themselves like your average pop star , infact today i read the first interview with thomas and guy manuel ive seen for about 5 years and even thats only about 5 questions on a website

they make music that appeals to so many people and then the next album appeals to so many more. everyone likes them even if they dont know them. then all of the collaborators on this new album have there own huge back catalogue and fan base too

weirdly you either love them or just arent bothered. they are so reclusive and inoffensive that i dont think anyone at all can really 'hate' them

it wasnt really supposed to be accessible though. they where a huge part of the undergound house/techno scene. it just turned out that way because it was so bloody good.

the other big electronic stars like chem brothers where going rocky to appeal to average joe but they stuck to what they knew and it sold to the masses without them even really trying.

Been listening to Homework again this evening... I find it really boring, you can listen for over a minute and virtually nothing happens :(
