Random BSOD

Hope someone can help here.

Recently bought this:

Corsair HX 620 PSU
BFG 8800 GTS
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2 x Crucial Ballistix 1GB (2x512MB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Dual Channel Kit
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS2P (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Noctua NH-U12F CPU Cooler

Experiencing random crashes, CPU + GPU temps all seem fine.

Wondering how I can find out what specifically it is, are there hardware testing apps that might do it for me?

Is it possible the default MOBO settings for the processor need adjusting?
Did I put too much thermal paste on the processor?

Any help or ideas appreciated..

Have you set the correct memory timings in the BIOS?

For your Memory it should be:

CAS - 3
tRCD - 3
tRP - 3
tRAS - 12

And set the Vdimm to 2.2

What info is the BSOD giving you? If it isn't holding the BSOD on screen, disable auto restart from the system properties>advanced>startup and recovery settings.

Google the STOP error code, or post it back here and we can take a look.
