Random BSOD...

Ive tested each ram module using a diagnostic tool. The pc boots fine with each memory module individually.
Would running the PC with 4Gb (2sticks) instead of 8Gb?

There shouldn't be a performance difference from loosing the extra 4Gb.

I was getting bluscreens and kernal power errors on my old mobo (Asus M4A79XTD EVO). Ran memtest showed errors on 3 sets of ram. Individually they all worked fine too showing no errors. Changed mobo and not a single problem since. Granted this doesn't help you diagnose your problem but if everything is stock, the memory checks out and you have enough power I think you should be looking at your mobo.

Is it rma-able?

Could also try Upping the North bridge voltage by one notch.

I know it may have been stable like that for a while... but you know computers, never stable :)

I doubt it, I got it for £80ish from OcUK about 20ish Months ago so I take it its out of warranty :(

Gair enough. What I will say is my bsod's were random. sometimes just after boot, others after an hour or two of doing anything. I would say your mobo is borked but can't base that on anything so if everything else has checked out then process of elimination...................

It just done it again :( I Thought it was a sound issue so i disabled the sound and had it on mute in windows and it crashes again (While playing wow) :|
:(

I googled some problems related to this, and found that some boards can be a little underpowered on the northbridge for 8gbs of ram.

Therefore giving more juice to the northbridge can fix the problem ( considering this is the problem)

Sorry to Revive this topic but i found out why its been crashing.

I Checked the Ram modules and for them to run at 5-5-5-15 at 1066Mhz they need to be run at 2.3v!!
The mobo was running them on 1.8v. i Increased the Volts to 2v and it kept crashing so i put it to 2.2v and its fine. (2.1v-2.28v are considered HIGH and 2.3v+ Are Considered DANGEROUS by the Motherboard.)

Thanks for all the Help guys.
