Random Celeb Spotting

Where I work is a bizarre place to meet so many celebs (paintball site) but we get quite a few.

Lewis Hamilton played recently, Chelsea play every year, Pat Cash, Kate Middleton, Bruce Dickenson, Andy Gomersall and the quins, Charlie Higson, Daniel Beddingfield, Julie T Wallace, and there are probably more I have forgotten. Thats in about a year and a half.

Live in an apparentment block and Warren Gatland sometimes stays in the flat opposite, David Tennant (sp?) is also in the building

Seen quite a few celebs in the spa next door; Franky Boyle, Pussy Cat Dolls ;) , Supper Hans (dont know the actors name), Simon Cowell, Ant n Dec, Entire eng rugby team, quite a few of the german footy team, Arsen Wenger (Sp?)

just to name a few :p

Mate of mine saw WWE's Kane in an Asda in nottingham on Sunday. Another mate walked past Patrick Stewart in Edinburgh last week. As for me, I bumped into one of the Proclaimers couple months back, couldn't tell you which one though!

He was there for a signing last week. Last time I saw him in Notts was a few years ago when he was in the Victoria Center signing copies of the "See No Evil" movie novelisation. I had to laugh at the mothers walking out with their 8 or 9 year-old children carrying copies of a pretty brutal slasher flick novel. Didn't say anything though as I was reading exactly the same stuff at that age.

Most recently, I sat at the next table to Rick Wakeman in Leicester Square having a coffee.

When i was out in London for my birthday, me and my girl went to Soho to get some eats. While we were eating her eyes suddenly widened and when I turned around there was a bloke sitting eating some dinner on his own.
"OMG! Do you know who that is"
"who?"
"It's Nigel Harman" *squeal*
"who?"
"He played Sharons husband on Eastenders"
"who?"

she didn't seem to mind my lack of knowledge on the subject of "Who is Nigel Harman and his Career so far"

shared some pizza with glenn matlock in december although I guess thats not very recent :/

Wicked, what was he like?

No recent celeb spottings of my own but in years gone by I had some great ones, though normally with people who to me are heroes but to most people have no idea who they are as they were mainly people in bands which weren't massive.

My best ever evening was spent in The Royal George Pub in London followed by the London Borderline venue. I was there with a friend as we were due to be interviewing a Band called The Yo-Yos (who no one has ever heard of) who I had previously interviewed on 2 or 3 other occassions. Their lineup included an all time hero of mine, Danny McCormmack who used to play bass in The Wildhearts.

We were supposed to be interviewing them after the gig they were playing that evening. We arrived while they were sound checking at the Borderline and popped round to the pub round the corner with their press agent and others, and sat there drinking and chatting with Andy Cairns from Therapy?, Alistair McGowan (who was much taller than I imagined), a band called The Pulkas and various other people from the rock scene at the time.

When The sound check was finished the Yo-Yos came along to the pub and we drank and chatted with them too.

When it was time for the gig, my friend and I walked past a huge queue (must have been 300 people or more in it), straight to the guest list entrance and got straight in as we were top of the list (which felt brilliant!).

Inside there were loads of people we recognised from the rock music scene, our faves being Rich Battersby (Drummer from The Wildhearts) and Chris McCormack (From 3 Colours Red).

Was an absolutely mind blowing gig!!!

Never did get the interview as the band was busy straight after their set and by the time they were nearly ready for the interview we had to leave cos we needed to get the last train home.

Was one of my best nights ever, and it's rather disappointing when I tell people because they've never heard of any of the people I was really chuffed about meeting!!!
