Hey knowledgable guys,

I am having comp robs where it will just randomly crash, as in just reboot with no errors.

I have recently upgraded my comp to a Asrock Extreme4 Gen3 mobo with an i5 2500K processor and 8G or ripjaw DDR3 mem. My temps are all good and I can play BF3 for hours with no problems but these crashes happen at random times (computer idleing). Also I use a Gigabyte GTX560TI gfx card with a OCZ 700 PSU.

When I replaced the new set-up from the old (Gigabyte ep45-ud3lr and Q8400 proc with 4 gig or HyperX DDR2 mem) I didn't need to reinstall windows as it booted up fine with no problems.

Could this be the problem? or is there something more sinister?

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Also to note I will happily do a reinstall of windows 7 but would rather not as it is a pain to get everything back to how I like.

As an update I have updated the BIOS but now I can't access it with either DEL or F2? man I am getting stressed :(

OK sorted the problem out. It was a PSU fault. After swapping the PSU over with another I have. This has cured the problem and given the exact same problem on the other comp.
I would have thought a PSU would just die and not give random crashes like it did?

Could be a temp/voltage issue etc, building up and then cutting out later on or was just dying and wanted to go out with a bang (not literally :D)
