Hi all, I have a weird problem where my Samsung G9 Monitor randomly crashes. I have set it up my driving rig and mid race, the image will stall and then shrink (around an inch) and then go black screen. This all takes around 5 seconds and then it comes back on.
It's not causing the pc to crash, just the screen. I have updated the G9 to the latest firmware and changed the display port cable.
I am also running a G8 monitor for normal gaming and don't seem to be having a problem with that, so I assume the GPU is okay.
I'm running the G9 monitor at 240hz which I know has been a problem in the past, but I used to use this one for COD and never had a problem then.
Any ideas?

Okay, thanks I'll have a look. I'll give the gsync idea ago tomorrow and get back to you.
Thanks for helping btw

others may also share some suggestions but from what you have described these are some simple things to try.

I've had similar mainly with faulty cables, only a week or so ago one of mine failed and caused the screen to go black and restart, pc stayed on. New cable resolved.

Worth trying diff output port on gpu too.

Right, all I've done is unplugged the other monitor and run some races and so far so good. Normally it would have crashed during 18 lap races for sure.
So what have I done wrong in the settings for two monitors then?
I haven't set it to dual monitors as I wanted it to only see the one that was switched on if you know what I mean.

Have never run 2 monitors myself, so not sure what settings you need.

I just thought it may have been the different resolutions may be affecting it.

Glad it is at least working ok with just the one screen plugged in.
