My computer has started to crash either right after booting or very soon after (seconds to a few minutes). It started all of a sudden today. I have run checkdisk to no avail. Safe Mode dosen't throw anything up either nor does restoring to an earlier date, so I don't know where to start. Thought of a repair install from my windows disk but it cant find my raided (striped) C drive. Im using XP Pro. Tried looking up event viewer to no avail either.
Help!

Just a thought but is it giving a BSOD or just rebooting?

If it's rebooting then boot up in safe mode and make sure you have the auto-reboot option turned off. (Go to the system properties - Advanced Tab, Startup and Recovery/Settings, Uncheck the "Automatically Restart" button)

You will (probably) then get a BSOD when you boot in normal mode, or rather when the m/c crashes, but at least it should give you the error codes and give you something to Google on.

Id normally say its a driver issue but seeing as you've done a system restore its probably not.
Most likely to be the RAM. How many sticks have you got? If its more than one try each stick one at a time.

Actually, neither. It just freezes, even the mouse stops and it just sits there til I hit reset.
I have 2x 1G OCZ 1150 ram.

Sounds more likely hardware related, try J.B's suggestion, it's certainly a possiblilty the ram's the cause.
