Random deletions?

I see this continued :o

OcUK need to stop pretending it didn't happen and there's no issue. It's shocking that such a sucessful company isn't quick to try to sort this out.

I'm getting the feeling that we really are "Only 10%".

Try the sticky on the top of the forum, this has been done to death now :(

Wherein the un-nameable company has not only been mentioned, but stickied so that it will always be easily accessible. Now whenever someone wants to point someone towards said u-nameable website, they just have to tell people to make sure to read the rules about naming competitors :D

People get to know which website we're all talking about, we get to enfore the rules, the rules get read, everyone wins!

I'm still not sure though what happens if someone wants a Kindle! hmmm

so basically are we going to have endless threads related to this ?

boring tbh . its done finished why carry on ?

The issue about your game saves really needs to be addressed publicly or, like I keep saying, it won't go away.

Games saves have been getting randomly deleted for years though, ultimately this isn't a big enough issue, nor are there enough people who give a toss, for this to cause any change in that.

I don't get the 10% thing?

Is it that we on the forums are only 10% of OcUK's customer base?

Something like that.

To be honest, that sounds high to me, I would have thought the entire forum probably accounted for more like 1 or 2% at most :p The gaming forum alone is probably almost entirely insignificant, if everyone in here stopped buying from OcUK, I doubt they'd even notice.

Just go File > Save Page As

Must more efficient way of saving the threads. :)

Yes, trying to do it just now, I deleted the entire page with the last 80 posts from the "Please remember blablabla thread". Oh well

If anyone wonders how, I clicked on "Start Private Browsing" by accident.

Let's hope someone else saved it for future generations.

Pure conjecture?

Pure conjecture?

Pretty much but OcUK is a pretty high turnover business and ultimately, they clearly aren't surviving off the yearly graphics card upgrade of a subforum with a couple of hundred regular posters at most.

It's hardly shocking to think the very significant majority of their business comes from outside the forum.
